Mom's Support Group Non-members are welcome at our Support Group meetings. As we "encourage one another and build up one another" in the spirit of 1 Thessalonians 5:11, let's remind ourselves that God has made each one of us unique. Like snowflakes, every homeschool has a beauty all of its own. Even with our imperfections, God has a plan and purpose specific to our family. Therefore, it does no good to compare ourselves with one another (and indeed 2 Corinthians 10:12 tells us comparison is foolishness). The Mom's Support Groups are a great way to glean encouragement - often in the form of helpful information, often just in the sharing of burdens, and always in the lifting up of Christ. Mom's Support Groups start at 7:00 pm unless noted and run late. In keeping with the purpose of bringing homeschool moms together for a time of spiritual and social refreshment, no child care is provided. Therefore, please make arrangements for your children at home. (Infants are always welcome!!!) Also, please bring a snack (i.e. pretzels, carrots, fruit and dip, popcorn, cookies) or a drink to share. Listed below are locations and dates from which to choose. No RSVP is necessary, but a courtesy call is welcome. These meetings are not only for the "new" homeschooler but are also to encourage the overly-busy veteran. We can always discuss anything about homeschooling, so bring your concerns for prayer and come and learn! Share with us from your God-given wisdom, or sit quietly and glean from others. For additional information on any of the groups listed below please contact YHSA's Small Groups Chairperson. NOTE:These meetings are for all moms regardless of children's ages.
